We currently have projects in four focus areas. These are:
CarbalytEx - A calculation package modelling, comparing and reporting on financial returns over time from investments in a range of vegetation projects, or a portfolio of projects, built in collaboration with AnalytEx (www.analytex.com.au).
Developing a new methodology under the ACCU Scheme for ecoforestry (the establishment of new, biodiverse, permanent forests on formerly cleared land for multiple purposes, including sustainable timber production by silvicultural thinning and individual tree and group selection harvest.
Proposing a national program to foster new employment, and relevant training and skills for Australia’s Environmental Regeneration Industry workforce, including training to assist in natural disasters and fire management. This includes developing a proposal for a regional pilot project in north-east NSW.
Proposing and commencing development of a thematic Regional Plan for northern coastal NSW, encompassing the two Regional Forest Agreement areas north of Sydney from the Hunter Valley to the Queensland border. The theme is regenerative management of private and Crown land outside the State Forest and National Parks estates for the purposes of environmental repair, biodiversity conservation and enhancement, and the establishment of new planted forests to support long term growth of the timber industry.
